Favorite Descriptions Ranking Explanation

Our team put 6-hours on the clock and debated our favorite UMW YouTube Channel Descriptions.

Here was our process…

  1. We evaluated the 1st 125 characters of every description and ranked them in our favorite order (The assignment stressed the importance of the 1st 125 characters).
  2. We awarded one extra point for every meaningful keyword in the 1st 125 characters (examples: ingredients, recipes, tips, home-cook, pantry).
  3. We rewarded those descriptions that made sure to ask the viewer to subscribe, follow or join.
  4. We gave extra consideration to those descriptions that ask the viewer a question(s) and had them thinking (example: “Are you not sure what to make for a healthy lunch?”).
  5. We evaluated the remaining characters of the descriptions (after the 1st 125) and ranked them in our favorite order.
Maximum Score – 100 points
